Clinical Services

Rehabilitative Services:


Comprehensive Evaluation & Testing
  • Conduct a thorough functional history to determine the impact of vision loss.
  • Perform a low-vision exam to determine residual visual ability.

Instruction and Training
  • Provide special training to coordinate other senses in performing self-care activities, new skills, work, and recreational activities.

Assistive Devices
  • Provide devices that are used in training which will enable individuals to perform household tasks, manage personal needs, read, watch television, work, study and travel independently. These include, but are not limited to, hand-held magnifiers, telescopes, reading stands, special reading lasses, and closed circuit televisions.

Support and Counseling Services
  • Provide assistance to individuals and families in adjusting to their vision changes and improving their quality of life.
